The event is 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tortoise & Hare Bar and Grill in Crystal City.

Nearly 30 people have registered to have their heads shaved Saturday at the Tortoise & Hare Bar and Grill in Crystal City to help raise money for childhood cancer research and awareness.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation event starts at 1 p.m. at the bar and grill, which is at 567 S. 23rd St. in Arlington.

The foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that relies on donations to help fund "the most promising research initiatives to find cures," according to a news release.
