Bridges will be participating in ACT for Alexandria’s Spring2ACTion campaign, a 24-hour online fundraising drive for local nonprofits on Wednesday, April 5! Our goal is to raise $15,000 to purchase a much-needed 15-passenger van for our youth program.

Sixty percent of the people we serve are under the age of 18. These kids deal with the challenges and anxieties of homelessness on a daily basis. Our vision is to end the intergenerational cycle of poverty. We provide a robust youth program designed to help these kids find a better pathway in life and achieve the bright future they deserve.

Our youth program includes mentoring, tutoring, a running club, the summer lemonade stand, science activities, leadership training, reading, preparing healthy food, gardening, swimming lessons, help with internship and college applications and more! We keep our kids busy, engaged, and constantly learning and striving to do more!

The main problem we are facing? We have no way to transport kids to and from activities! One of our two minivans ("Mitch") has finally bit the dust, leaving us with just one minivan to drive over 60 kids around. We desperately need a larger, 15-passenger van!

All donations received from now through April 5 (Spring2ACTion day!) will go toward the purchase of a van.

THANK YOU so much for your support!
