International Dog Day Celebrated By Arlington Dog Lovers
Patch asked our readers to submit photos of their favorite pooches to celebrate International Dog Day.

ARLINGTON, VA — Every dog has its day. Today is that day.
Thursday is International Dog Day. To help celebrate the event, Patch asked readers in Arlington share photos of their precious pups for our special dog-day photo gallery.
It was only fair to reach out to dog owners for the holiday since we extended the same invitation to cat owners to celebrate International Cat Day on Aug. 6.

This is Ginger. We rescued her 5 years ago when she was 4 years old. Her DNA test said she is a mix of only 2 breeds: one parent was an Australian Cattle Dog, and the other was a Treeing Walker Coonhound. She’s wicked smart.
