It's Adopt a Shelter Dog Month: Meet Yoshi the at Arlington Shelter
Yoshi is just one of several pups and felines waiting for a "forever home" at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.

Did you know that October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month? We can’t think of a better candidate than Yoshi, a 7-year-old Silky Terrier is just one of the cute pups and felines waiting for a forever home at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, at 2650 S. Arlington Mill Dr. in Arlington. See all the dogs and cats up for adoption here. Don’t forget to check out the birds, bunnies and guinea pigs too.
Read about the shelter’s adoption process here. Adoption hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - Noon - 7 pm; Tuesdays closed and on the weekends, the shelter is open from Noon - 4 pm.
The dog adoption fee is $200 for puppies six months and younger and $175 for dogs older than six months and older and includes:

- A certificate for a free exam with a participating veterinarian. Fees for other services performed will be paid by the adopter to the veterinary hospital.
- Spay/neuter surgery (Additional fees may apply under special circumstances.)
- A heartworm test
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- A personalized I.D. tag
- A microchip
- A free phone consultation or $30 off any training service from Fur-Get-Me-Not
- An information packet
