LEGO Store Coming to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

The store is expected to open on the ground level in September.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Big news, Fashion Centre at Pentagon City shoppers: a LEGO Store is coming to the mall this fall.

That's right, the mall isn't done with its huge expansion just yet. In September, the LEGO Store will be opening its first Arlington location at the ground level near Microsoft, according to a statement.

"The animated and interactive shop will expand the center's child-friendly offerings by providing young shoppers with a one-of-a-kind, hands-on experience packed with the latest LEGO bricks designed for imagination and learning," the statement notes. "Shoppers exploring the LEGO world can take advantage of the professional aid of Brick Specialists, choose elements and accompanying pieces with the Pick and Build Wall, and experience designs in 3D with the Digital Box."

It won't be the D.C. area's first LEGO Store -- there's one currently located at Tysons Corner Center. LEGO operates dozens of stores in the United States, as well as some locations in Canada and Europe. LEGO is featured at both Disneyland and Disney World.

The Fashion Centre's expansion has seen a lot of openings lately, including restaurants Garrett Popcorn Shops, Shake Shack and Matchbox. Honeygrow will join that list on Monday when it opens at its street-level location along Hayes Street.
