Lightning Strike Causes Fire at Arlington Apartment Building

No one was injured, but five people were displaced.

A bolt of lightning from Tuesday night’s storm ignited a blaze at an Arlington apartment building, according to the Arlington County Fire Department.

The building is located in the 1600 block of 21st Road in Arlington, the department said.

Five people from four apartment units were displaced by the fire, according to the fire department. Apartment management took care of housing them, the fire department said.
