Listen: DC Metro Escalator Etiquette, Put to Music
With their lyrics in "Stand Right," a DC jazz group sings about "one of the worst unwritten rules to break."

Got some relatives or friends coming into town who will be taking the Metro? Teach ‘em the rules with a catchy song from a DC jazz group, in a snazzy song called “Stand Right.”
Published last spring, the song features Aaron Myers on vocals, Oren Levine, words, music, and piano, Percy White, bass and Wes Crawford on drums.
“Stand right, walk left, on the Metro escalator,” Myers sings. “It’s what the locals do. Stand right. It’s my piece of advice to you.”
