Loaded Firearm, Marijuana Found During Pentagon City Traffic Stop
Two Marylanders were arrested after police found a large amount of marijuana and a loaded firearm during a traffic stop in Pentagon City.

ARLINGTON, VA — Two 25-year-olds from Maryland are facing drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop Wednesday evening in Pentagon City, according to Arlington County Police.
Around 5:52 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on 15th Street S. at northbound Richmond Highway after seeing a moving violation involving a vehicle that was displaying in an improper registration. The officer determined that neither the vehicle's driver nor passenger had a valid drivers license.
Before the vehicle was towed away, police discovered a loaded firearm with extended magazine and large amount of marijuana.

ACPD charged the driver, whom they identified as Jonavan Nickens of Hyattsville, with possession of a concealed firearm, possession of firearm while the subject of protective order, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, improper tags/registration and no operator's license. Police also charged the passenger, Carlita Marbley of District Heights, with possession of a concealed firearm and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
