Local Woman Startled By 'Multiple Loud Bangs' On Her Door: Police
Police say a man on the front porch tried to get inside her Arlington home, but fled before police arrived.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A woman in Arlington had a frightening experience on Wednesday when someone banged loudly on her door and tried to force his way inside, police say.
Police were called to the 4700 block of 24th Road N at around 3 p.m. Nov. 14 to a report of a suspicious person, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she heard multiple loud bangs on the door and observed an unknown male suspect on the front porch allegedly attempting to gain entry unsuccessfully," the report states. "The suspect fled prior to police arrival."

Officers searched the area but couldn't find him. They described him as a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and white shoes.
