Major Road Closures in Arlington Next Weekend
Two 5K races later this month will result in significant road closures.

ARLINGTON, VA — The weekend before Thanksgiving Day is going to be a busy one in Arlington, with two 5K races scheduled resulting in major road closures, so be prepared.
The 2nd Annual Jennifer Bush-Lawson Memorial 5K Race will take place Saturday, Nov. 19 in the George Mason Drive area. The Arlington County Police Department will shut down the following roads from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
- Little Falls Road: N. George Mason Drive to Yorktown Blvd.
- Yorktown Blvd.: N. George Mason Drive to Williamsburg Blvd.
- Williamsburg Blvd.: Yorktown Blvd. to N. Emerson Street
- 33rd Street: N. Emerson Street to N. George Mason Drive
- George Mason Drive: N. 33rd Street to Yorktown Blvd.
- Smaller closures exist within the race area
On Sunday, Nov. 20, the Girls on the Run 5K will result in road closures in Rosslyn and along Route 110 from 5 a.m. until noon.

The following road closures will be in effect on that day:
- Wilson Blvd. between N. Lynn St. and Route 110 will be closed from 5:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
- Kent St. between Wilson Blvd. and N. 19th St. will be closed from 5:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
- 110 between Wilson Blvd. and I-395 will be closed from 7:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Vehicles entering Rt.
- 10 from Memorial Ave. and points south will be permitted to travel southbound on Rt. 110 throughout the closure times.
