Malicious Wounding, Assault Charges Filed Against Falls Church Man

ARLINGTON, VA — A 27-year-old Falls Church man was charged with assaulting a police officer and malicious wounding following fight near the Ballston-MU Metro Station early Saturday evening, according to Arlington County Police.

After responding around 5:08 p.m. for the report of an assault at N. Stuart Street at Wilson Boulevard, an officer saw two men, who were acquaintances, fighting. One of the men was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

With the help of additional officers, police located the second man near the Ballston and took him into custody. During the arrest, the man did not comply with the officers' requests, and became aggressive. In addition, he assaulted an officer and made threats, according to police.

Anforne Golden of Falls Church was charged with assault on police, and malicious wounding. Police also cited him on three obstruction of justice charges.
