Man Breaks Into Apartment in Ballston, Sexually Assaults Woman: Police
Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the man, who attacked the woman in the early morning hours of June 19.

Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a man who broke into a woman's apartment in Ballston and sexually assaulted her.
The man broke into a residence in the 3900 block of 4th Street N at around 2 a.m. on June 19 and "sexually assaulted her while using the threat of a weapon to hold her against her will," according to a police statement.
The 28-year-old woman was able to lock herself in the bathroom and yell for help, prompting the man to flee on foot.

"The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 25-35 years old with dark hair and a fair complexion," police said. "He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark pants."
Responding officers tried to conduct a canine track, but were unsuccessful. Officers talked to possible witnesses and will also conduct extra checks of the area.
