Man Carjacks Mercedes At Gunpoint In Pentagon City

Arlington County Police are investigating a Thursday afternoon carjacking that took place in Pentagon City.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington County Police are investigating a carjacking that occurred Thursday afternoon in Pentagon City, according to the daily crime report.

On Thursday, Jan. 23, at about 1:50 p.m., officers responded to the report of an armed robbery in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. Arriving on the scene, they learned that an unknown suspect approached the male victim as he exited his parked car. The suspect pointed a firearm, demanded the keys and drove away in the victim's vehicle.

Police describe the suspect as a black male with a skinny build, approximately 6-feet-6-inches tall. He was wearing dark pants and a dark jacket. The victim's car is a black Mercedes C300 with Maryland tags, 4DF8053.
