Man Caught Filming Up Woman's Skirt at Courthouse Metro, Tries to Smash Phone: Police
Police arrested 34-year-old Mario Garay Revelo after the incident on the escalator of the Metro station.

A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly trying to film a woman up her skirt at the Courthouse Metro station, then trying to smash his phone when he was caught.
Arlington police arrested 34-year-old Mario Garay Revelo of Washington, D.C., who was charged with unlawful filming, according to police spokesperson Ashley Savage.
Police were called to the Courthouse Metro station just before 3 p.m. July 13 to find that a woman who was riding the escalator had discovered that a man was filming her when she turned around.

She confronted Revelo, and once off the escalator, he "threw his phone against the ground in an attempt to break it," Savage said.
"This alerted other riders in the station and they came to the victim's assistance, preventing the male suspect from leaving," she added.

Arlington County Police and Metro Transit Police took Revelo into custody. His actions are under investigation, and police are asking anyone else who might have had an "inappropriate interaction" with Revelo to contact Arlington County Police, Savage said.
