Man Charged With Entering Residence In Rosslyn By Elevator: Police

Joseph Martore, 39, of Arlington was charged with unlawful entry and assault and battery and released on a summons, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man was arrested on charges of unlawful entry and assault Sunday night after exiting an elevator and entering a residence in the 1800 block of N. Nash Street in Rosslyn, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

At about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, police were dispatched to a building in Rosslyn for a report of breaking and entering. When they arrived, police determined that the victim was entering an elevator, which opens directly into his residence, when a man was exiting the elevator directly into the victim’s home.

The Arlington County Police Department has a policy of not providing the name of a business or housing complex. The block listed in the police crime report is where the Turnberry Tower luxury high-rise condominium building is located.

When the victim asked the man to leave his residence, the suspect pushed the victim, police said.

The victim was able to push the suspect out of the residence and into the hallway. Joseph Martore, 39, of Arlington was charged with unlawful entry and assault and battery and released on a summons, police said.
