Man Loses 2 Teeth in Fight, Boyfriend Charged in Assault, Eyeglass Store Robbed + More

REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150517015, 1100 block of of N. Hudson Street. At 1:50 am on May 17, a male victim was punched in the mouth and lost two teeth. He was transported to the hospital. The suspect was hanging out at Spider Kelly’s that evening and is described as a black male with shoulder length dreads and was wearing all dark clothing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150515011, 1900 block of S. Columbia Pike. At 3:30 am on May 15, a 25 year-old female victim sustained significant injuries as a result of her boyfriend violently attacking her. She was transported to the hospital. The suspect was arrested at his place of employment later that day. Hansell Springer Rodriguez, 26, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, strangulation, abduction and possession of a controlled substance. He was held without bond.

ROBBERY, 150515045, 6000 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At 6:03 pm on May 15, two subjects entered the True Eye Center and stole eyeglasses. When confronted by a store employee, one of the subjects assaulted him and fled the scene. The suspects are described as black males in their early twenties, approximately 6’0” tall and 180 lbs. One suspect was wearing a black hat, black and white shirt and blue jeans. The second subject was wearing a black skull cap, black jacket and grey shirt with blue jeans.

ROBBERY, 150516003, 5000 block of S. Columbia Pike. At 12:08 am on May 16, a subject was assaulted by his wife’s ex-boyfriend inside of CVS. After the subject repeatedly punched the victim, he stole his cellphone and fled the scene. Police located the suspect at his residence. Daniel Tarqui Ayala, 31, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with robbery. He was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 150517004, 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. At 12:30 am on May 17, two unknown subjects attempted to rob a male victim of his wallet. The victim began screaming for help and the suspects fled without the wallet. Suspect one is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 5’5” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black and white hoodie and jeans. Suspect two is described as a white male in his twenties, approximately 5’5” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

BURGLARY, 150517058, 1500 block of S. Oakland Street. Between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm on May 15, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole items to include jewelry, cash and prescription medication. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150517053, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. Between 10 am on May 13 and 3:40 pm on May 17, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a storage facility and stole a large number of Michael Kors handbags. There is no suspect(s) description.
