Man Hospitalized After Face Slashed with Glass in Bar Fight

Police issued a warrant for malicious wounding for Arlington attorney Todd Lewis; Lewis turned himself in to police, according to ARLNow.

(Updated June 13, 2017) Arlington County Police responded to a bar fight Monday night that sent a man to the hospital, according to a police report.

The incident took place at Republic Bar & Kitchen, 801 N. Quincy St., where officers responded at about 11:21, after a suspect smashed a glass across the face of a victim at a bar following a disagreement, according to Arlington County Police.

The victim suffered a large laceration on his face and was taken to Virginia Hospital Center, police noted in a report.

The suspect fled the scene and was identified through surveillance video, according to police. A warrant for malicious wounding was issued for Todd Lewis, 37, of Arlington, according to Arlington County Police.

ARLNow reports that Lewis turned himself in. Lewis is an attorney and life coach, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Virginia online court records show that Lewis pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of assault and battery on Feb. 23, 2017. He was sentenced to 360 days in jail, with 210 days suspended; and ordered to serve one year's probation after his release from jail.
