Man Struck Tuesday Night by Car on I-395, Near Ridge Road Overpass: Police
Virginia State Police say man was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A man was struck by a car Tuesday night during a rain storm on I-395 near the Ridge Road Overpass, according to Virginia State Police.
Police were investigating the pedestrian crash Tuesday night in Arlington County. State police were investigating a crash that occurred at approximately 10:16 p.m.,Tuesday in the southbound lanes of I-395, when a second crash occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m., just behind it, according to police.
An adult male was struck at the scene by a southbound vehicle, police said. Both crashes occurred on I-395, near the Ridge Road overpass, according to police.

The male pedestrian was transported to GW Hospital in Washington, DC, for treatment of life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver of the vehicle that struck him was not injured. The cause of both crashes remain under investigation at this time.
