Man Throws Coffee Mug at Another Driver in Arlington: Police

A road rage incident got physical when a driver hurled his mug at another car that cut him off, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police say a man threw his coffee mug into another vehicle in a road rage incident in Pentagon City Sunday evening.

Police were called to a report of a "dispute between drivers" in the 500 block of 12th Street S at around 6:35 p.m. on April 2, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"Upon investigation it was determined that the suspect allegedly threw a coffee mug at the victim after the victim cut him off," the report states. "The coffee mug struck the vehicle and no injuries were reported."

Police arrested 33-year-old Ghassan Odeh of Falls Church on charges of throwing a missile into an occupied vehicle and misdemeanor damage to personal property.

He has been released on an unsecured bond.
