Man Uses Glass Bottle To Rob Victims In Ballston: Police

Police say the man demanded cash and then fled the area.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police are searching for a suspect after a man used a glass bottle to rob two people in Ballston early Tuesday morning.

Police say that an unknown man approached two men at 2 a.m. in the parking lot of a business at 935 N. Stafford Street, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department. That is the address of the IHOP in Ballston.

"As they were entering their vehicle, the suspect threatened them with a glass bottle and demanded cash," the report states. "After the victims complied with the suspect’s request, he fled on foot."

Police described the suspect as follows: "The suspect is described as white male, approximately 6’2”, in his late 20’s or early 30’s, with black, medium length hair, an unshaven face, wearing a long sleeve white shirt with the sleeves rolled up and gray pants."
