Man Wanted In NC Arrested For Grand Larceny In Pentagon City
Arlington County Police arrested a D.C. man in connection with a grand larceny offense that occurred Sunday in Pentagon City.
ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington County Police arrested a Washington, D.C., man Sunday in connection with a grand larceny offense in Pentagon City, according to the daily crime report. The man was also wanted by authorities in North Carolina.
On Sunday, Feb. 9, around 3:40 p.m., an ACPD officer on patrol noticed a suspicious individual looking into parked vehicles in the 900 block of Army Navy Drive. The officer observed the suspect allegedly trying to enter a vehicle by pulling on a door handle and then breaking the rear driver's side window and stealing a backpack. The suspect then fled on foot.
The officer located the suspect inside a Metro station. After refusing the officer's lawful commands, the suspect fled the scene on foot. After additional units arrived, the suspect was taken into custody.

Police arrested Harvey Jones, 24, of Washington, D.C., charging him with Possession of Burglarous Tools, Grand Larceny: Theft from Motor Vehicle, and Destruction of Property.
An investigation revealed Jones was a wanted man out of North Carolina. He is being held without bond.
