Man Wanted For Pushing Pedestrian Into Traffic With His Vehicle

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are looking for a man in connection with a hit and run incident that occurred Saturday afternoon in Pentagon City, according to the daily crime report.

Officers were dispatched around 1:46 p.m., for the report of a hit and run in the 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. They determined the victim was almost struck by a turning vehicle as he was crossing the street in a crosswalk. The driver turned his vehicle around, parked, and approached the victim, according to police. A verbal altercation ensued, during which the driver spat on the victim. After the driver returned to his vehicle, the victim tried to take his photo. The driver then reversed toward the victim and pushed him with his vehicle into oncoming traffic. The vehicle then drove away before police arrived. The victim was not injured.

Police described the suspect as a 20-25-year-old Black man, with a slim build and short hair, standing about 5-foot-7. The vehicle he was driving was described as a white, four-door sedan. This case remains under investigation.
