Man Yelled 'I Hate America,' Used Car To Attack Pentagon Officers: Report
The 36-year-old Falls Church man is accused of driving through a security checkpoint, forcing officers to stop him with their vehicles.
ARLINGTON, VA — A Virginia man yelled "F--- America" and "I hate America" as he used his car to attack Pentagon police officers last week, according to a CBS News report citing federal court documents.
Tamirat Yehualawork, 36, of Falls Church, is accused of driving through a security checkpoint outside the Pentagon on Friday, CBS News reported. He sped through a second security barrier, forcing police to pull out their guns and use police vehicles to stop him.
After Pentagon officers took him into custody, Yehualawork reportedly told officers, "I hate America and I was trying to kill people."

It's unclear whether charges were filed against Yehualawork. A Virginia judge ordered him to be detained pending future hearings, CBS News reported.
