Marymount Farmers Market - Season Opening

Marymount Farmers Market, a collaboration of local groups and neighbors, is opening for the summer season on Saturday, May 27.

The Marymount Farmers Market is opening for the season on Saturday, May 27, 2017. The market is a collaboration between Marymount University, the community, vendors, and Field to Table, Inc. to provide farm fresh fruits and vegetables; baked goods, and assorted goodies to the northern most neighborhoods of Arlington. Marymount Farmers Market is a local producer market meaning vendors are required to produce (grow, bake, roast, or prepare) their products within 125 miles of Arlington.

Marymount University provides the market with a home, a parking garage, atm, bathrooms, and water fountains. Students designed the market logo. The university does ask that the market not take place during Graduation week when campus parking is at a premium, thus the late May opening.

The market committee is made up of neighbors from near the university. Members of the committee scout and sample potential new vendors; help with publicity. Many local civic associations have representation on the committee. Volunteers often help set up and take down the market. There is some physical labor required so high school age or adult volunteers are preferred. If you would like to volunteer you can contact the market through the webpage.
