Massive Waits For Metro Trains In PG County This Weekend
Trains on the Silver, Orange, Blue, and Red lines will have waits of up to 24 minutes due to a lot of single-tracking.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- Sure hope you don't have anywhere to go this weekend, because if you plan on taking Metro, you'll be waiting a while.
There will be huge delays on all lines but the Green and Yellow lines due to extensive track work that will take place this weekend, including 24-minute wait times for some areas.
Silver Line trains will run only between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston this weekend, and they'll only run every 24 minutes due to work on the Orange and Blue lines.

Orange and Blue line trains will also run every 24 minutes, and even the Red Line will experience 15-minute waits due to single-tracking between Silver Spring and Forest Glen for rail tie renewal and joint elimination.
On the Blue Line, single-line tracking will take place between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery.
