MD Man Arrested For Stealing Merchandise From Ballston Business
Alington County Police arrested a man they say stole merchandise from and threatened an employee at a Ballston business on Saturday night.

ARLINGTON, VA — A Bowie, Maryland, man was arrested in connection with a strongarm robbery at a Ballston business on Friday night.
Arlington County Police responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive for the report of a robbery by force. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man entered a business, approached the counter, and asked about some merchinse, according to police. The man then leaped over the counter, grab mecrhandise and threatened an employee. He then left without paying for the merchandise.
After police broadcast a lookout, the officers who answered the original dispatch saw a man who matched the description of the suspect near Fairfax Drive and N. Nelson Street, according to police. Stopping the man, the officers found the stolen merchandise in his possession.

Police charged arrested 27-year-old Maliek Young, charging him with robbery, according to reports.
