MD Man Charged In Pentagon City Armed Robbery: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that took place Wednesday morning at a Pentagon City business, according to the daily crime report.

Around 11:26 a.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 1300 block of S. Joyce Street for the report of suspicious circumstances. Arriving on the scene, they learned the suspect had entered the business and tried to go behind the counter. The suspect told an employee he had a firearm and demanded money, but the employee declined. Prior to police arrival, the suspect had fled the scene on foot.

Following a canvass of the neighborhood, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. Police say the suspect was in possession of a knife. ACPD charged Caleb Stevens, 25, of Temple Hills, Maryland, with attempted armed robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
