Merchandise Thrown At Employee Of Courthouse Business: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a 34-year-old man Thursday morning who they say robbed a business in the Courthouse area.

Officers responded around 7:20 a.m. for the report of an assault at a business in the 2200 block of Clarendon Boulevard. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man entered the business and began arguing with an employee. During the argument, the man threw merchandise at the employee, striking him. The man then slipped merchandise into a bag and left the business on foot, according to police.

A lookout was broadcast and officers located the man, whom they identified as Carlos Hunter of no fixed address, and took him into custody.

During the arrested, Hunter offered false information about his identity to police. They were able to properly indentify him later.

ACPD charged Hunter with robbery, identity theft, and giving false identity to a law enforcement while detained.
