Metropolitan School of the Arts to Perform Company Project - Evolution: Past, Present, Future

Student Pre-Professional Companies Take the Stage in Arlington

Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) Academy of Alexandria Va. will perform its Company Project - Evolution: Past, Present, Future on Sun., Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. at Kenmore Middle School in Arlington, Va. 200 S. Carlin Springs Rd. The show highlights MSA’s most talented and most dedicated performers. The Company Project is a chance for MSA’s pre-professional companies to perform in a high caliber show, which pushes students’ boundaries artistically, physically, and mentally. This year, The Company Project - Evolution will delve into the world of dance from past, present and future. Tickets are $15 per person. Go to www.metropolitanarts.org for more information.

MSA’s Company Project – Evolution: Past, Present, Future celebrates youth dancers in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. This show will feature innovative choreography by MSA faculty and renowned guest artists including: Tiffanie Carson, Jaqueline Doherty, Stephanie Dorrycott, Sara Hart, Jared Jenkins, Roxanne King, Charles Renato, Roger C. Jeffrey, and Caroline Frankil Warren. MSA’s resident pre-professional dance companies will also be represented at the show, including: iMpulse, the Metropolitan Youth Ballet, the Metropolitan Youth Tap Ensemble, and dynaMYTE.

“Our students from all dance disciplines come alive in this Company Project, highlighting their talents and passion for the performing arts,” said Melissa Dobbs, founder and executive director of Metropolitan School of the Arts of Alexandria, Va.
