Missing Man Case Switches To Assault, Robbery: Police
Arlington County Police are investigating a case that started out as the search for a missing man.
ARLINGTON, VA — An investigation that started out as the search for a missing Arlington man Thursday night turned into a robbery investigation for Arlington County Police, according to the daily crime report.
Around 11:40 p.m., officers responded to a call for the report of a missing adult. The family told police they had become concerned after the missing adult hadn't returned home and they started to receive threatening messages from his cellphone.
As police were investigating the incident, the missing adult returned home. He told police he been walking in an unknown location when he was assaulted by three suspects, who then stole cash and his cellphone. No injuries were reported.

Police describe the three suspects as Hispanic males. This case continues to be under investigation.
