23-Year-Old Dumfries Man Killed In I-395 Crash In Arlington
Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-395 involving a motorcycle that occurred during Thursday's rush hour.

ARLINGTON, VA — Virginia State Police identified 23-year-old Joshua A Craig Jr. of Dumfries as the motorcycle rider who was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday on I-395 in Arlington.
Around 4:51 p.m., Craig was riding his Honda CBR600RR northbound on I-395 at a high rate of speed when it lost control near exit 8. The motorcycle struck a 2012 Acura TL, then veered off the road to the right, and struck a guard rail.
Craig was ejected from the Honda and died on the scene, according to VSP.

Three northbound lanes on I-395 were closed to traffic for nearly two hours on Thursday while crash reconstruction personnel investigated the scene of the crash. Backups extended beyond the Springfield Interchange. All lanes reopened around 6:30 p.m.
