Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Thursday, June 30.
On the Road
At 7:06 a.m. on Thursday, a multi-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Route 7 about 0.3 miles west of VA-228 in Loudoun County had closed all westbound and two eastbound travel lanes. A detour is in place. Motorists should follow police directions.

At 7:24 a.m., a previous tractor trailer crash on southbound Interstate 95 at mile marker 1391.1 in Stafford County was causing a backup of 5 miles.
At 7:03 a.m., a crash involving an overturned vehicle was reported on Old Keene Mill Rd. westbound near Spring Lake Drive in Burke.

At 7:34 a.m., a disabled vehicle in the northbound lanes of I-95 at mile marker 153.8 (2.6 miles south of Dale Blvd Exit 156) in Prince William County. No lanes are closed.
Around 6:30 a.m., VA-234/Prince William Pkwy both ways near Clover Hill Rd. were affected by a report of a vehicle fire.
By 5:30 a.m., all southbound lanes of D.C. 295 in the District of Columbia had reopened to traffic. On Wednesday, a repaving process had created wet tar that disabled several vehicles on D.C. 295 between Benning Road and East Capitol Street, WTOP reported.
On the Metro
Service is back to normal as of 7 a.m. on the Red Line in the direction of Glenmont after an earlier train malfunction at Friendship Heights.
For Monday, July 4, Metro is asking customers to prepare for longer lines to enter stations near the National Mall after the fireworks, up to 60 minutes. Using a further away station or allowing crowds to thin out after the fireworks are great options, if you can, Metro said.

Sunny, with a high near 91, is forecast for Thursday. Low temperatures are expected to reach 73 Thursday night. On Friday, a chance of showers and thunderstorms are forecast after 2 p.m., with a high near 93.
