Multiple Drug, Weapons Charges Filed Against Arlington Man: Police

Arlington County Police arrested a 44-year-old man after they say he threatened an acquaintance with a gun.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 44-year-old Arlington man is facing multiple drug and weapons charges following a dispute with an acquaintance that took place Thursday night near Arlington Forest.

Officers were dispatch around 9:52 p.m., to the 100 block of N. Thomas Street for the report of a person with a gun. Arriving on the scene, police determined that two men, who were acquaintances, got into an argument outside a residential building. During the argument, one of the men pulled out a firearm and threatened the second man with it. The victim fled the scene and contacted police.

The officers identified 44-year-old Colin Brown as the suspect in the case and took him into custody. During their investigation, police recovered a firearm, ammunition and suspected narcotics.

Police charged Brown with brandishing, possession of Schedule I/II controlled substance and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs. Brown is facing two additional charges of felon possession of a firearm/ammunition.
