Naked Man Surprises Morning Commuters in Arlington
Drivers called 9-1-1 about a man who was naked in the median on South Glebe Road. He is now in custody.

Arlington County Police were joking around Wednesday on National Underwear Day, tweeting:
A public nudity charge isn’t the exposure you’re looking for! Don’t break bad on #NationalUnderwearDay
Little did they know that Thursday, around 10:30 a.m., they would receive calls about a naked man, seen by morning commuters running around South Glebe Road in South Arlington.

The calls first started Thursday morning about a man, clothed, throwing himself onto the hoods of cars, said Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck. Officers responded, but couldn’t find the man.
A little bit later, the next call was for a man with his shirt off. The next calls were about a naked man in the median.

As of Thursday afternoon, the man was being examined for drug use or mental problems at Virginia Hospital Center, Sternbeck said.
The man, described being in his 20s, may face charges, once the evaluation and testing is completed, Sternbeck said.
