Narcotics Charge For Alexandria Woman Arrested in Clarendon

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested an Alexandria woman early Thursday morning on a narcotics violation, after she was apprehended during a traffic stop in Clarendon, according to the daily crime report.

Around 12:22 a.m., an ACPD patrol officer observed a known wanted suspect driving a vehicle near Wilson Boulevard and North Garfield Street. As the officer prepared to make the traffic stop, the suspect pulled over, and fled the scene on foot.

ACPD established a perimeter and began searching the area with the help of the Fairfax County Police Helicopter, but the suspect was not located. Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 30s, 5-foot-7 in height with dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing glasses, a black hoodie, black shirt and jeans.

Following an investigation, officers arrested one of the two other occupants of the vehicle. Cindy Tosti, 29, of Alexandria, was charged with possession of a scheduled I/II controlled substance and identity theft. She is being held without bond.

The case remains under investigation.
