2 Cited For Possession Of Drugs, Firearms In Pentagon City Garage

ARLINGTON, VA — Two men were arrested on narcotics and weapons charges after resisting arrest Wednesday afternoon in a Pentagon City parking garage.

Around 3:35 p.m., an officer with the Arlington County Police Department identified a stolen vehicle parked in a garage in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. The vehicle, which was unoccupied, displayed stolen tags and its VIN had been altered, according to police.

While police were investigating the stolen vehicle, two men walked up and got inside the vehicle. When the officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, the men attempted to drive off and struck a police vehicle. Eventually, the two men complied to the officers' commands and they were taken into custody. No injuries were reported. Investigators recovered suspected narcotics and two firearms from the vehicle.

Police charged 23-year-old Jalen Germany of no fixed address with unauthorized use of a vehicle, altered VIN, carrying a concealed weapon, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and license plate violation. Officers determined that Germany was also wanted by the U.S. Marshal's Service.

Jeffery Queen, 23, of Washington, D.C. was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of schedule III/IV/V/VI narcotics, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while in possession of narcotics. Queen also faces two charges of possession of schedule I/II narcotics.
