National Park Service to Close Key Bridge Exit This Week

Southbound GW Parkway exit will be closed starting before morning rush hour Monday.

The National Park Service will close the exit ramp from southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway to Key Bridge prior to morning rush hour starting on Monday, August 24, according to the Parkway Web site. The ramp will remain closed through Friday, August 28.

During this closure, crews will reconstruct the entire road surface, requiring extensive milling, gravel excavation and replacement, and laying new asphalt. Minor curb replacement will also be completed during this time.

There will be no detours, the park service says. The NPS says to expect delays and plan alternate routes.
