Nazi Flag Saluted In Arlington: Shocking Photo

A user on Twitter has posted a disturbing photo of a small group of people saluting a Nazi flag outside an Arlington strip mall.

ARLINGTON, VA — A visitor to the Arlington area was shocked after going to get a haircut Friday in the Dominion Hills neighborhood and seeing a small gathering saluting a Nazi flag.

Jamila Garcia, who lives in New York but was visiting her husbands' parents in Arlington Friday, told Patch in an email her husband snapped this photo outside the Dominion Hills Centre off Wilson Boulevard at around noon as he was going to get a haircut.

He was "horrified by this happening in his parents neighborhood," where they have lived for almost 40 years, Garcia said.

"They were apparently commemorating the death of the founder of Nazism," she added. "That location was the former headquarters for the Nazis back in the day."

Arlington County Police spokeswoman Ashley Savage said that police were "aware of the group exercising their First Amendment rights."
