New Pizza Joint Coming To Ballston

D.C. staple &pizza is looking to expand beyond the District with its first standalone shop in Northern Virginia.

ARLINGTON, VA — Ballston is about to get a new pizza joint this fall: the D.C.-based pizza chain "&pizza," which is looking to make inroads in Northern Virginia.

&pizza plans to move into a 2,123-square-foot space 3924 Wilson Boulevard, the company said in a statement.

"We pride ourselves in creating neighborhood shops built for the neighborhood and supporting local, like-minded brands doing big things – whether that’s in downtown D.C. or Arlington," said Michael Lastoria, co-founder and CEO of &pizza, in a statement. "We are so grateful to have grown this quickly, and directly attribute our growth to the DMV community’s support over the last five years."

&pizza has numerous locations throughout D.C., but they are relatively new to the Northern Virginia area. They have shops at both Dulles and Reagan airports, one at the Springfield Mall, and will be opening a Tysons Corner shop in October. The Ballston location will be their first standalone shop in Virginia.

The chain continues to expand in D.C. in the meantime, signing a lease at 401 Morse Street NE for a 2018 opening.
