New Wine Shop Opening In Arlington

ARLINGTON, VA — A new wine shop is opening in Arlington, according to a filing with Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control.

As first reported by ARLnow.com, Pentagon City Wine Merchant has submitted a request for a retail license at a "gourmet shop" at 1330 S. Fair Street -- likely referring to S. Fern Street in Pentagon City in the row of shops across the street from Costco.

The effective date is listed as July 18 and the status is listed as "pending."

Another wine store, Crystal City Wine Shop, is located just a few blocks away.
