Celebrate Oktoberfest In National Landing With German Food, Music And Local Brews
Third Annual Oktoberfest brings German music and food, as well as local brews to the Lidl parking lot in National Landing on Saturday.
ARLINGTON, VA — It's time for you to get your lederhosen out, as Lidl and the National Landing Business Improvement District (BID) team up to present the third annual Oktoberfest on Saturday.
This free event will take place 12-4 p.m., in the Lidl parking lot located at 3400 S. Clark St.
“Oktoberfest is one of our most anticipated events annually, and we are thrilled to be able to gather again this year to celebrate the season,” said Tracy Sayegh Gabriel, president and executive director of the National Landing BID, in a release. “The BID is committed to bringing programming to National Landing that is safe and enjoyable for the entire community, and we are thankful for partners such as Lidl, who are helping to make this happen.”

To ensure the health and safety of all Oktoberfest attendees, pre-registration is required and attendance will be capped. To gain entrance, everyone must present their ticket and provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or a negative PCR test within the previous 48 hours. Individuals who have not been vaccinated and children under 12 must wear masks.
Visitors to National Landing Saturday will be able to sample a variety of local beers and ciders from Arlington's own New District Brewing Co. Drink ticket purchases at Oktoberfest will benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.

There will also be Oktoberfest games and musical performances by Practically Einstein and the Alte Kumpel Band. A variety of food trucks will be selling their wares, while other vendors will be serving traditional German dishes.
You'll also be able to celebrate Oktoberfest with your dog at this years event. AWLA and Puppy Luv LLC are presenting Barktoberfest, with a dog-run and treats. You can also get your dog groomed and have your picture taken as well.
Motorists traveling around the National Landing area on Saturday afternoon may experience some delays, as Arlington County Police will be closing the following roads between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to accommodate the event:
- 33rd Street between Crystal Drive and S. Potomac Avenue
- Clark Street between S. 35th Street and S. 33rd Street
Attendees are encouraged to take public transit to the event. Parking will be restricted in the area and motorists are warned to be on the lookout for temporary No Parking signs.
