Olympic Medalist Torri Huske Welcomed Back To Arlington By Crowd
A crowd of well-wishers showed up to welcome Olympic silver-medalist Torri Huske, who returned to Arlington from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
ARLINGTON, VA — A crowd of Arlington residents welcomed home 18-year-old swimmer Torri Huske Monday night, after she returned from competing in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Both of Arlington's police and fire departments shared the moment in Tuesday morning tweets on their official Twitter account.
Although Huske set the American record in the 100M butterfly in June at the Olympic trials, she finished fourth last week in the 100 butterfly in Tokyo.
However, Huske did not come home empty handed. She earned a silver medal Sunday as part of the U.S. women's 4x100-meter medley relay team.

The Austrian women grabbed the top spot on the podium and set a new Olympic record with a time of 3:51.60. This was enough to edge out Huske and her teammates Regan Smith, Lydia Jacoby, and Abbey Weitzeil, who clocked in at 3:51.73. Canada earned the bronze with a time of 3:52.60.
Huske competes for the Arlington Aquatic Club and is set to swim collegiately at Stanford University.
