Opera NOVA brunch to feature five singers

Chandra Choum will also describe his rise from a Cambodian refugee to a tech entrepreneur

Opera NOVA will present its annual brunch with a concert featuring five opera singers and a guest speaker on Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Washington Golf & Country Club in Arlington.

Doors open at noon, the buffet is served at 12:30 p.m., and the concert starts at 1:15 p.m.

Among singers will be renowned baritone Jose Sacin, soprano Jocelyn Hunt, soprano Annie Gill, mezzo-soprano Elise Jenkins and soprano Sofia Parfomak. They will be accompanied by pianist Zsolt Balogh

The brunch will also hear from guest speaker Chandra Choum, who will talk about his rise from a refugee in Cambodia to becoming a tech executive in Virginia. Also, music educator Patricia Miller of George Mason University will be honored.
