Patrick Algyer Joins NVAA As Its New Executive Director
The Northern Virginia Apartment Association in Arlington recently hired Patrick Algyer as its new executive director.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Northern Virginia Apartment Association announced Monday, Feb 24, that it had hired Patrick Algyer to be its new executive director, according to a press release. In that role, Algyer will work closely with the Board of Directors to increase engagement and carry out NVAA's mission of providing legislative and regulatory representation and communicating current trends and issues for its members in the residential rental industry.
“We are thrilled to bring Patrick on board to lead NVAA as we step into a new decade,” said Gerald Pierce, Northern Virginia Apartment Association Board president, in the release. “He intuitively understands how associations work and has a proven track record of community building and driving member engagement that will serve NVAA well.”
Algyer, a Certified Volunteer Administrator, has more than a decade of experience in managing associations, both in volunteer and paid positions. His prior work includes serving as chief strategist and founder of Encore Engagement Solutions. Before that, he served in various membership and volunteer relations roles at the Global Business Travel Association.

“NVAA leads Northern Virginia in multi-family advocacy and education,” Algyer said, in the release. “I’m excited to take on this role and work with the Board of Directors to promote the success of the apartment industry and provide strong value for our membership.”
