ARLINGTON, VA — Oden, god of wisdom and ruler of Asgard, seeks a new home and a new people!

Five-year-old Oden was found by Arlington County's Animal Control team, walking near a road, but not putting any weight on his right front paw. Officers brought him to the urgent care vet who discovered several puncture wounds on his leg.

They were able to staple and bandage his wounds, and once he was brought to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, he started taking medication to ease his discomfort and treat the infection.

Now, Oden is all better and ready to find his new home. He would, of course, prefer to be treated like the god he was named after, being showered with gifts as he sits on his throne ... or cat tree. But of course, lots of pets and a few treats here and there will suffice as well.

Oden is a very friendly, active guy who loves to play and explore. He loves meeting new people and getting attention from anyone that comes in his kennel. If you’re interested in adopting Oden, please visit AWLA for more information.
