Pet Of The Week: AWLA May Have Found Your New Best Friend
Blaze Robinson has been looking for his new home for more than 75 days.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is helping Blaze Robinson, a 44-pound, mixed-breed, adult male dog, his forever home.
Here's what AWLA had to say about Blaze:
“Are you looking for a new best friend? You must be if you're reading what I have to say! I sure hope so because I have been searching for a forever family for 75+ days. I'm not sure why nobody has picked me to be their new best friend yet but I heard Virginia was the place to go! I packed my bags from Houston and am ready for a new adventure up north! I really have it all going on!

"Beautiful Blaze is what the ladies call me because of my head turning good looks! You will have a new shadow with me around so you won't ever feel lonely, I love to rest my head on your lap and have you hold my paw. When we are outside on adventures, I'm great on a leash, catch treats like no other, and love to greet you and new people with a proper paw shake! I met several dogs during my foster stay in Texas and we became best friends too! I even got to snuggle next to a 14 pound little dog and I behaved when around her.
"Big dogs you ask? Those are my favorite! Romping around with them, catching treats, and then when it comes to bed time, I like to rest my head on or next to other dogs for comfort. I do have a bit of energy so need some stimulation and plenty of non destructible toys. I like to play the game where I see how fast I can chew my toys sometimes! It's really fun! I am also content in my crate and sleep through the night in my crate without issue. Am I potty trained you ask? YES! Accidents in the house are a thing of the past from when I was a puppy! I don't even mark inside my home!

"In other words, I'm a really good boy! You will love me and the gentle hugs I give too!"
