Pet Of The Week: This Dog Is Looking For Someone To Hang Out With

ARLINGTON, VA — Camilita is a mixed breed, female dog who enjoys an easy-going and relaxing life. She's looking for someone to hang out with.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington had this to say about this chill canine:

"Camilita came to us from a rescue partner in rural North Carolina, and she's still working on making herself feel more comfortable in this busy city. When Camilita first arrived, we could tell right away that she was a special girl who would need an extra loving touch, but with a little patience (and a lot of treats!) Camilita has been coming out of her shell and showing us her lovely personality. We've discovered that this girl absolutely loves her chew toys, is a cheese connoisseur, and snores softly in her sleep. She would love to find a home with an adopter who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to decompress and build up her confidence.

Potential adopters should be prepared to mask-up when visiting the Arlington County Animal Shelter.

"We did reinstate masks," said AWLA spokeswoman Chelsea Jones. "They are required for all staff, volunteers, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status."
