ARLINGTON, VA — Animal Welfare League of Arlington shared this letter from Bruno, a lovable brindle-colored mixed-breed dog who's looking for his forever home:

"Hello, my future forever fam! My name is Bruno and I am super excited to meet you! I am a little shy when I am getting to know new people, but I warm up quickly. I love my foster mom and follow her everywhere. When she is working at her desk in the office I like to sit by her and rest my head on her lap. When she is relaxing on the couch, I like to cuddle up next to her. When she gets up, I sometimes steal her seat just to tease her. I love my two dog brothers. They have welcomed me into my foster home with open paws and we get along swimmingly. I don’t have any cat siblings, so I am not sure how I would do with them, but I am pretty laid back, so there is a chance we could get along as well. I am pretty mellow, so no rambunctious energy here. I know how to sit on command, which is pretty nifty if I do say so myself. If you think I would be a great addition to your family, please reach out to my foster mom at awla.foster.lauranicole@gmail.com to schedule a meet and greet. I am so looking forward to meeting you!"

Potential adopters should be prepared to mask-up when visiting the Arlington County Animal Shelter.

"We did re-instate masks," said AWLA spokeswoman Chelsea Jones. "They are required for all staff, volunteers, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status."
