Police Accuse DC Man Of Sexual Assault At Arlington's Courthouse Metro

A D.C. man was arrested Monday night in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the Courthouse Metro Station, according to police.

ARLINGTON, VA — A Washington, D.C. man was arrested Monday night in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the Courthouse Metro Station, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Justice Bilaal Hatcher, 29, has been charged with rape, forcible sodomy, sexual battery and two counts of obstruction of justice. He is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

Shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person in the 2100 block of Wilson Boulevard. Someone had called police after they saw a man “grab and inappropriately touch the female victim” in the Metro, police said.

The suspect was seen by police “sexually assaulting the victim in the Metro,” police said. The suspect and the female “separated and began to leave the area,” according to police.

Officers gave the suspect commands and attempted to take him into custody, during which he resisted arrest, police said. Additional officers helped to take the suspect into custody, according to police.
