Police: Suspect Stealing Sunglasses Tried to Choke Store Employee

The following crime incidents took place in Arlington County over the weekend and were reported Monday by the Arlington County Police Department in its Crime Report:

REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150815016, 800 block of N. Randolph Street. At approximately 4:00 a.m. on August 15, an altercation ensued and two male victims were punched and thrown to the ground. Azmi Hani Sabah, 34, of Arlington VA, was arrested and warrants were obtained for Malicious Wounding.

ROBBERY, 150814028, 4000 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:30 p.m. on August 14, an unknown suspect stole three laptops from Virginia Tech Applied Research Company. The suspect is described as a black male in his 40-50’s, approximately 5’10” tall, and weighed 180 lbs. He was wearing a black suit, black dress shirt, and black dress shoes at the time of the incident.

ROBBERY, 150815060, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 9:00 p.m. on August 15, a male subject was seen concealing two pairs of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut. The subject pushed and attempted to choke an employee who confronted him before he was eventually detained. Terry Malik Baker, 44, of Washington D.C., was arrested and warrants were obtained for Robbery, Grand Larceny, and Larceny with Intent to Sell. He is being held without bond.

BURGLARY, 150814039, 2100 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. Between 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on August 14, an unknown suspect stole a laptop computer from a residence. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150815012, 1600 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 2:19 a.m. on August 15, two unknown suspects forced entry into a laundry room and stole cash from the money box. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black jacket, gray shorts, white shoes, and a ski mask. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a dark jacket, gloves, and a ski mask.

BURGLARY, 150815030, 5000 block of N. 22nd Street. Between 11:00 p.m. on August 14 and 11:00 a.m. on August 15, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole a laptop computer, Apple IPod, and several related items. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150816019, 2100 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. Between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on August 16, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole a Samsung LED TV and Xbox controllers. There is no suspect(s) description.

GRAND LARCENY MOPED, 150816007, 2300 block of N. 11th Street. Between 3:00 p.m. on August 15 and 12:30 a.m. on August 16, two male subjects stole three mopeds. After searching the area officers found a male suspect on one of the stolen mopeds. Moises Alexander Delcid, 21, of Washington D.C., was arrested and warrants were issued for three counts of Grand Larceny.
